Google Cast is broken on some wiso tv: how to fix

Google today knows an issue with the cast (first “Chromecast Built-in”), which has not been working on some visio TV models since 2016-2020. “

A fix that you can manually install, “rolling out” in the coming days. This includes downloading an update on your TV only.

Google in Visio provides the following instructions to fix the cast on TV:

1. To verify if the cast is working on your TV, try to enter an app.
2. If the cast does not work, press and choose the menu button on your wiso remote Check for all settings> administrator and privacy> updates. A message will appear to ask whether you are sure you want to check for update, choose Yes Option.
   • Steps may be different for some older visio models. If you do not see the settings above Check for System> Update
3. Your TV will find updates.
   • If your TV gets update, please download it completely before continuing it.
   • If your TV does not get updates, do not worry, it has the latest software.
4. Once you complete the checking for the update, press and select the menu button on your visit remote All settings> administrators and privacy> reunite the TV. A message will appear to ask if you want to restart your TV, choose Yes,
   • Steps may be different for some older visio models. If you do not see the settings above System> Reboot TV
   • Note: Do not select “restoration of the factory” as it can override the fix.
5. After your TV goes down completely, and restarts, you should be able to cast again.

This update “will be available for all affected TVs in early May, which requires no action from you.” Google says that “models continue to work according to 2020,” while the problem follows the 2-Je Kromecast issue since last month.
